When does the next electrical class start?
The next listed class starts October 12, 2026. Night instruction runs from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Contact us to confirm the detailed calendar before registering.
How does the Zoom option work?
Join the live night class through Zoom, ask questions in real time and learn with your instructor. You will come to Portland for scheduled hands-on training so you can practice the work.
Can a beginner take this class?
Yes. This entry-level program builds your industrial electrical foundation step by step and includes CSST safety training.
What credentials are included?
The program includes CSST, OSHA 10 and Industrial Electrical Level 1 training. Students complete module tests and required performance profiles to earn applicable NCCER training credentials. We also prepare students for the NCCER Industrial Electrician Knowledge Verified assessment when they meet NCCER eligibility requirements.
What can this training help me do?
This training helps you build a foundation for entry-level industrial electrical work, understand jobsite expectations and work toward NCCER credentials that many employers recognize.
How much does the course cost?
The course is $1,800. You can pay in full or reserve your seat with a $500 deposit, leaving a $1,300 remaining balance. Call us if you need a payment plan.
Do the class hours count toward a Texas journeyman license?
Not under the standard Texas licensing path. Texas requires supervised on-the-job electrical work documented by the licensed Master Electrician who supervised you. You may apply to take the journeyman exam after documenting at least 7,000 hours, but 8,000 qualifying hours are required for licensure. We teach NEC fundamentals, help you apply for an apprentice license and show you how to begin tracking qualifying hours once you are working under proper licensed supervision.
Will you help me apply for an apprentice license and find work?
Yes. We provide resume help, assistance with the Texas apprentice-electrician application and filtered NCCER electrician job searches. The apprentice license does not require prior experience or an exam, but hiring decisions are made by employers and we cannot guarantee placement.
