What we cover
Lift planning & calculations
CoG, load chart interpretation, sling angles, hardware selection, sling tensions, derations, and documenting a lift plan.
Advanced operations & special situations
Blind hoists, traveling with a load, tight/overhead work, multi-crane lifts (roles and comms), personnel platforms basics.
Controls, indicators & safety devices
Reading indicators, alarms/interlocks, limitations, and how they affect your lift choices.
Standards & best practices
NCCER criteria, manufacturer guidance, site policies, and real-world application.

Yes. Hands-on and written exams are included.
When do we test?
Both exams are on-site on day 4 (Thursday).
How many people per class?
Max 6 students for individual attention.
What if I need extra help?
We’ll review after class. You can also take extra time with the instructor before testing.
