Quick Answers for Employers

What can Rig Right Texas handle for your company?

Start here if you are trying to figure out whether you need training, testing or both.

Can you train an entire employee crew?

Yes. We work with employers on group training for construction and industrial crews. Employer plans can include safety training, rigging training and other workforce needs depending on the project and employee count.

Can experienced employees test instead of taking a full class?

Sometimes that is the better path. Experienced craft professionals who already know the work may need the appropriate NCCER assessment or practical exam rather than a full training class.

Can you coordinate training and NCCER testing together?

Yes. A company request can include employees who need training, employees who may be ready to assess and employees who need hands-on or focused preparation before testing.

Do you offer onsite employer training?

Onsite options may be available. The right setup depends on the course, location, employee count, equipment and training requirements. Group training can also be arranged through Rig Right Texas locations.

Choose What Your Crew Needs

Three employer paths. One place to start.

Do not send every employee through the same process just because you need the workforce ready. Start with what the crew actually needs.

Start With the Workforce Problem

Tell us what has to happen before your people can go to work.

Maybe the client requires a specific credential. Maybe a project starts in two weeks. Maybe you are hiring 30 people at once. Maybe you have experienced employees who only need to test. Maybe your safety manager is trying to get Fire Watch, Confined Space and CPR completed for the same group.

That is the information we need first. Once we understand the requirement, workforce and deadline, we can help separate who needs training, who may be ready for testing and how to organize the schedule with the least disruption to the job.

“I have 40 employees who need different things before mobilization.” That is a company training request — not 40 individual student registrations.
New HiresBuild training into onboarding before the employee hits the site.

Keep new employees on one plan instead of finding out at the last minute who is missing what.

Experienced CrewDo not automatically retrain people who already know the craft.

Use assessments and practical exams when testing is the more appropriate next step.

Project DeadlineWork backward from the date your crew has to be ready.

Give us the deadline early so the training and testing schedule supports mobilization instead of fighting it.

Mixed RequirementsOne workforce can have several different training needs.

Safety, rigging, assessments and retests can be organized under one employer conversation.

Employer Workforce Support

More than just putting employees into a class.

The employer experience should make it easier to move a workforce through training and testing — not create another administrative job for your team.

Group Scheduling

Keep employees together.

Organize the workforce as a group instead of sending employees through separate registrations and unrelated schedules.

Training + Assessment

Choose the right path before you spend the money.

Training is for learning. Assessment is for verifying existing knowledge or skill. Start by deciding which one the employee actually needs.

Practical Exams

Hands-on ability matters too.

For applicable NCCER certification pathways, practical examinations can be coordinated along with written assessment needs.

Focused Retest Prep

Train the gap.

If an employee needs to retest, focus preparation on the areas that need improvement rather than automatically restarting the entire program.

Onsite Discussion

Bring eligible training closer to the crew.

If moving the workforce creates more problems than it solves, ask whether the requested employer training can be delivered at your facility or jobsite.

Employer Administration

One point of contact.

Keep scheduling, training needs, employer invoicing and changes under one company conversation instead of chasing multiple contacts.

How Employer Training Works

Start with the company need. Build the training plan from there.

You do not need to know every course name before you contact us. Give us the workforce problem first.

1

Send the headcount

Tell us how many employees are involved, where they work and the general experience level of the crew.

2

Send the requirement

Tell us what the client, project, job assignment or company policy says employees need before they go to work.

3

Sort training vs. testing

Identify who needs instruction, who may be ready to assess and who only needs focused preparation.

4

Build around the job

Coordinate group dates, location, shifts, hands-on requirements and the deadline your company is working toward.

One Employer Point of Contact

Your training request should have one person helping move it forward.

When you are coordinating a crew, the last thing you need is to chase different people for scheduling, testing and company questions. Employer Relations can help organize the request and keep the next steps clear.

What kinds of employer safety training do you offer?

Employer safety options can include Fire Watch, Bottle Watch / breathing-air attendant training, Confined Space, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 options, CPR and First Aid, new-hire safety training and other construction or industrial safety needs.

Employer rigging options can include NCCER Basic Rigger training, Advanced Rigger preparation, Signal Person training options, hands-on rigging practice, assessments, practical exams and focused preparation for employees who need to retest.

Can experienced employees test without taking a full class?

Depending on the craft and credential, an experienced worker who already knows the work may be a better candidate for the appropriate NCCER assessment and practical exam rather than a full training class.

Can the company be invoiced instead of employees paying individually?

Employer invoicing and group scheduling support are available. Send the company information and workforce need so we can discuss the best way to structure the request.
